Trains

I figured out on Friday whilst I was on a train up to London that I really like train journeys. I love the fact that you get time to just sit and do nothing. I had to take this trip to London and I had to take the train but the great thing about that is I had this free 3hrs to listen to music and do sudoku (which by the way is something that I have only recently got into and I love it! sad I know).

So anyway moving on to something else.....its Newday on Saturday and I can't wait! I love this week every year and I always get something out of it even though its aimed at 12-19 year olds. Its just such a great time to spend with God and friends. I will posting an update on how it went when I get back!

Also I have this Hen day on Saturday which is a watersports event and for someone who is acciedent prone and never done any water sports in her life its going to be very interesting....fun but interesting. I will however be looking forward to the train journey from Southampton to Norwich (Newday) on Saturday afternoon.....all that free time what will I do with it?

No longer a Learning Supivisor!

I finished work today and I was happy and sad at the same time. I was happy because it meant that I was that much closer to a great summer and that much closer to travelling! But I was sad because I really liked my job. I've had such a great year and I love working in a school. God blessed me so much with this job, last May I felt God tell me to apply for a job in a high school and to be honest this prospect scared me a lot. At the time I thought I had heard wrong because I didn't feel qualfied enough but I applied anyway and God came through once again (like he always does). This year has taught me a lot about patience, being calm in frustrating situations and working with a broad range of people and I loved MOST of it. I've even felt that maybe teaching is something I want to go into in the future!

So now I've finished work what will I be doing with my time until I go travelling (this is the question that people keep asking me) well I have a lot planned.

Newday
Hen Do's (one is my ex uni housemates and its water sports.......this could be interesting for me!!)
A wedding.....very excited about this one.
Travel planning (I need to do a lot of this)
Seeing my first ever West End show.......'Wicked'
Relaxing!

I will be reporting on all of these.......

I always struggle with the ending of these post so I'm going to leave this one with a simple...

Bye

Writing again!

So its been a year and 6 months since I last posted anything on this blog and I was intending to start writing when I go travelling in September but I thought I would start now as I have time to write and I have a very interesting summer ahead which could produce interesting posts.
For now though I want to leave you with a song that God continually speaks to me through and I love. The lyrics have so much truth and at least once a week I listen to this song as I walk to work because it just reminds me how amazing our God is and how amazing his grace and mercy is!
Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect plea.
A great High Priest whose Name is Love
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in heaven He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart.

When Satan tempts me to despair
And tells me of my guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end of all my sin.
Because the sinless Savior died
My sinful soul is counted free.
For God the just is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me.

Behold Him there the risen Lamb,
My perfect spotless righteousness,
The great unchangeable I am,
The King of Glory and of Grace,
One with Himself I cannot die.
My soul is purchased by His blood,
My life is hid with Christ on high,
With Christ my Savior and my God!
